The world’s biggest supplier of bike bags has joined the TransCape sponsorship family.
Scicon will supply each rider with an 80 litre trolley bag in which riders pack their essentials that are transported during race week.
Scicon will announce various special offers exclusively available to TransCape entrants during the upcoming months.
Their commitment is wonderful and adds immense value to the 7-day mountain bike race from Knysna to Franschhoek, which takes place from 4-10 February 2018.
The mountain-bike community was abuzz this week when the organisers of the 2018 TransCape, driven by Volvo, also announced a lucrative R250 000 prize purse for the event which takes place from 4-10 February 2018.
TransCape presents an awe inspiring 614km, 7-day mountain-bike journey from Knysna in the Garden Route to Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.
The prize purse is evenly split between men, women and mixed teams while there is also a prize fund allocation for single men and ladies who take part.

The organisation is elevating the status of the event on all media channels for 2018, which includes an international television broadcast package, to ensure sufficient sponsors’ coverage for riders and event sponsors.
The route for the 2018 edition of the TransCape was unveiled last week and new route director Pieter van Wyk, in conjunction with route consultant, Johan Kriegler, have unearthed some sublime route options for the iconic 7-day mountain-bike adventure.
TransCape 2018 starts in the quaint Garden Route village of Knysna on 4 February 2018 and concludes in the beautiful Cape Winelands village of Franschhoek on 10 February 2018.
Riders will cover a total of 614km over 7 stages with a total of 10 200m of vertical ascent.
